Everton have been impressive under new manager Rafael Benitez since the start of the season and they are unbeaten in the first four games in all competitions including three games in the Premier League.

    A lot of eyebrows were raised after the appointment of Spanish tactician Benitez as the new Everton boss in the place of Carlo Ancelotti who left the club to take the Real Madrid job for the second time in his managerial career. Benitez raised a lot of questions and doubts from the Everton faithfuls due to his past affiliation with their Merseyside rivals, Liverpool.     Sporting Lisbon midfielder MatheusNunes is a target for Premier League team Everton according to the latest reports emanating from the Portuguese media. The specific report fromRecord stated that the Toffees are keeping a close eye on the Brazilian player.

    Everton manager Rafael Benitez took over the job this summer after Carlo Ancelotti walked out on the Toffees to return to Real Madrid for a second spell and he has been on the search for talents that could improve the squad at his disposal ahead of the new season.


    Everton attacker Richarlison was one of the goalscorers for defending champions Brazil thrashed Peru 4-0 to book their place in the quarterfinals with two games to play in Group B at the ongoing Copa America tournament on home soil. The Everton player came off the bench to score and continue his good record for the Selecao in front of goal.

    Richarlison started the first group game against Venezuela on Sunday but didn’t find the back of the net as Brazil ran out 3-0 winners courtesy goals fromthe Paris Saint Germain (PSG) duo of Marquinhos and Neymar. Gabriel Barbosa added a late goal to make it a comprehensive victory over the Venezuelans in what was the opening game of the Copa America tournament this summer. Everton attacker Richarlison played 65 minutes before being replaced by Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus. Marquinhos and Neymar (penalty) had scored by the time he left the game.


    Merseyside club Everton have surprisingly been linked with a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianlugi Donnaruma. Italian international Donnaruma is on course to leave the Rossoneri this summer at the end of his current deal which expires in a matter of a few weeks.

    Donnaruma, 22, would be available for a free transfer move at the end of his Milan contract and the Italian Serie A giants have already brought in a replacement for him. Milan have signed Mike Maignan from French champions Lille. The Rossoneri paid €13m for Maignan who was the number one goalkeeper as Lille beat Paris Saint Germain (PSG) to the league title. Maignan will replace Donnaruma in the Milan goal as from the start of next season.


    Beskitas striker CyleLarin continued his fantastic form in front of goal at the weekend after netting four goals for his team in the 7-0 thumping of Hatayspor in the Turkish Super League. The result took Beskitas a step closer to the league title.

    Canadian international Larin had not scored a treble in a game at club level since August 2018 and he went on one better against Hatayspor. Larin scored all his four goals within 54 minutes. He has been linked with a move to Merseyside giants Everton as per the report from Fanatik.


    There will be a three-club battle for the possible signing of Fenerbahçe star Ozan Tufan in the summer. The Turkish club would love to hang on to one of their star players but they may be forced to let him go in the summer if the right offer comes in with as many as three English Premier League clubs queuing for his signature.

    According to the Telegraph, the trio of Crystal Palace, Everton, and Leicester City are all vying for the Turkey international star’s transfer who could cost as much as £17 million. The 26-year-old midfielder is a star performer for Fenerbahçe and has this season further shown reasons for him to remain with the Istanbul giants, but his long-term stay in Turkey is in doubt.


    Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in line to make his first start for the Toffees since his return from the hamstring injury that made him miss two Premier League games this month. The Everton player sustained the hamstring injury during the FA Cup fifth round clash with North London giants Tottenham Hotspur at home. He was one of the goalscorers as Everton beat Spurs 5-4 at the end of extra time to progress into the quarterfinals. Everton came out on the right side of the nine-goal thriller at home to Jose Mourinho’s men. Everton will now face in-form Manchester City next month in the FA Cup quarterfinals at home to determine who will go through to the semis. Manchester City are a difficult opponent at the moment as they have won 19 games on the bounce in all competitions. Manchester City have won their last 13 games in the Premier League.

    Top transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided a key transfer update to Everton fans about one of their players who seem to be edging closer to a move away from the club. The winger’s future has sparked huge speculations in recent weeks and with the January transfer window closing on Monday evening, the rush to push him away from the club has been a topic of huge importance.

    Mersyside giants Everton can take their midfield to the next level if they can pull off the transfer of Danish international playmaker Christian Eriksen who has been informed that he can leave Inter Milan in this January transfer window. Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen has struggled to hold down a permanent slot in the Nerazzuri midfield under manager Antonio Conte since he joined the Italians at the start of last year. Inter Milan paid €20m to sign Eriksen from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020 and he had to leave Spurs as he had six months left on his contract and the North Londoners could not risk losing him for free.

    The interest of Everton in Christian Eriksen was revealed by media outlet La Stampa. It was disclosed that Everton want to take him on loan until the end of the season. According to La Stampa, Everton are not the only English club to approach Inter Milan with a loan offer for Christian Eriksen.     Everton playmaker James Rodriguez won’t be available for the Toffees when they take on Chelsea at Goodison Park in a week twelve game in the Premier League. His absence for the game was confirmed by Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti during his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.

    It was revealed that James Rodriguez has a little injury problem picked up from thelast league game, a 1-1 draw at Burnleyearlier this month.
